United Methodist Men shall be a creative, supportive fellowship of men who seek to know Jesus Christ, to grow spiritually and seek daily his will. Our primary purpose is to declare the centrality of Christ in the lives of men and in all their relationships. .

The UNITED METHODIST WOMEN shall be a community of women whose PURPOSE is to know GOD and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church. United Methodist Women of Indiana is a statewide organization of women engaged in mission and advocacy. Mission Giving supports projects to women, children and youth so they may experience Christ’s love.

1.Helping to provide engaging children and youth programs.

2. Providing parent training opportunities .

3. Providing opportunities for inter generational experiences of fellowship and service .

4.Providing outreach and mission .

The goal of Young Lions is to teach boys what it means to be men spiritually, culturally, and physically and to infuse the boys with a strong self-image and with self-esteem with faith based awareness and conviction.

As United Methodist Men, it is not our intention to replace family dynamics, but to enhance the role of Christian men in supporting young men.

VISION:

To educate and empower African-American young women ages 8-18 to become Christian leaders in the twenty-first century [and beyond].

PURPOSE:

The purpose of the DOI program is to develop Christian leaders by providing an ongoing program of character education, leadership development, and meaningful mentoring relationships.

PHILOSOPHY:

Young women who participate in this program have an unique opportunity to grow in spirit, and in the knowledge of God and self, through a Bible-based curriculum and one-to-one and group mentoring experiences.

The Prayer Warriors consist of a group of members who pray together over the written prayer requests submitted during Sunday services.  The group meets together after each Sunday service, reading and praying over each prayer request.  During the week, the members individually continue to pray for concerns.  All are welcome to join with the Prayer Warriors in praying each Sunday.

We live in a time when what is essential has been reduced to optional.  Fear, clutter and personal necessities have crowded our calendars and devoured our time.  For over twenty-five years a small group of Christians have gathered and opened up scripture and allowed the word of God to shine God’s light on our lives.

Ninety minutes of power allows us to take ninety minutes of reading, discussing, and praying to empower us to power through the week.

We have focused on four sessions of Bible principles from Revelation to Zephaniah.  So powerful we break in the summer and the winter to refuel our spiritual engines.

The first Tuesday evening in September we will open Amos.

University United Methodist Church’s dance ministry consists of our very own Perfect Praise and youth group Destiny of Praise.

Destiny of Praise is comprised of young dancers ages 5 and up who enjoy praising God through dance.  With over 20 years of dance, both groups are under the direction of Tavia Gayles.

We are committed to giving God praise through liturgical and other styles of dance.  When dancing for God’s Kingdom, our goal is to continue to build the kingdom by spreading the Word through dance.

The UUMC Facility Coordinator will serve as liaison between UUMC and the couple, or their wedding planner.  The Facility Coordinator will be on hand 2 hours before the wedding to provide access to vendors, the wedding planner, or others for delivery and setup of flowers, decorations, videography, photography, etc. The Facility Coordinator will remain on hand for up to 2 hours afterward to allow for the break down and retrieval of items by vendors, and cleanup of the facility. The Facility Coordinator will also be on hand accessible and providing assistance through the rehearsal and reception, to those who have purchased those options.
